OMG New Release & Free Reads

In the summer my kids go off to Camp Grandma and

IMG_0708(1)

To Grandmother’s house they go! (It’s cold on the train.)

I get six glorious weeks of a clean house, quiet evenings, and minimal cooking. I usually go somewhere and treat myself to some proper relaxation. But it’s so damn hot that I don’t even want to walk down the street!

So, I’m staying inside and writing -a lot. I’m working on two, sometimes three manuscripts, every day. I’m trying to finish up the Watchers Crew series with Crow’s and Eagle’s stories. I’m polishing off the Moonkind series which you’ll hear more about in a couple of weeks! And I have to revise Beau the third Cindermama book which is due out this fall.

All that writing makes me hungry for some good reads. And OMG, do I have a list for you! A number of authors have gotten together to help readers beat the summer heat with a few good romances. Check it out!

I’ll be back in early August to announce the release of the first Moonkind book. In the meantime, check out the pretty cover of the first book in the series.

Rumpeled: New Release Out Now!

Rumpeled

New Release Out Today!

In this new spin on an old fairytale, Guy Rumpel’s golden touch could put a wrinkle in Midori Miller’s designs.

You can purchase the book now on Amazon for $2.99,

Rumpeled: a Cindermama Story

In my newest release the hero is a music producer. Keeping with the fairytelling retelling genre, you’ll learn early in the book that his ‘equipment’ has been cursed -but that’s nothing a little true love can’t fix.

“Lying with Midori last night, Guy had known peace, true peace as he brought her to the highest heights of pleasure. There had been no anxiety about his performance, no fear of failure. Though he hadn’t stirred that night, Guy conducted Midori’s pleasure like a perfect symphony. Using his fingers, he took her through movements that struck a chord at her core. When she decrescendoed, he’d held her to him until he could flip her over and play the B side in the morning.”

Rumpeled is the second book in my bestselling Cindermama series. If you love contemporary romance with a touch of magic then this series is for you. Buy Rumpeled: a Cindermama Story and bring this modern fairytale into your world today!

in Love

When Black Women Fall is a week long promotional tour of romance novels featuring African American heroines in the contemporary, historical, paranormal, new adult, and erotica genres.

Romance novels are increasingly featuring heroes and heroines of color, from Courtney Milan’s Brothers Sinister series to Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series. As society and its citizens increase in diversity so does the market. With more and more authors bypassing publishers and uploading these colorful romances on their own, starved readers now have a buffet of books to choose from. Continue reading

The Way of the Dragon

IMG_0759I decided to bite the bullet and buy a dragon -from Nuance. It’s the Dragon Dictation software.

I love to take long walks. It helps me to figure out plot holes. But I often find myself a couple of miles from my laptop when inspiration strikes.

I’d begun hearing about authors dictation their books, but I didn’t pay attention until someone said the phrase “walk and talk.” This is where you talk the Dragon software out and speak into a recorder, or your phone, while you walk. Authors are doing this for health reasons. I’ve decided to do this because when I’m out walking I get my best ideas. Continue reading

Second Sunday ~October 2015

Appetizer: a tease of what’s going on with my writing.

So yes, it’s technically the third Sunday. I had a crazy month, ya’ll! I got to the end of Rumpeled (the second Cindermama book), only to realize that I’m going to have to go back to the beginning. But I’ve decided to put that off and write a first draft of the third Cindermama book, tentatively titled Beau. November is National Write a Novel in a Month and I’m going to tackle this story before diving back into Rumpeled. Continue reading

Second Sunday Serving ~August 2015

My friends and I do a potluck every second Sunday of the month. We share family, food, and fellowship and it’s a beautiful time. I’d like to bring that experience to my readers every second Sunday as well.

Appetizer: a tease of what’s going on with my writing.

I’m hard at work on Rumpeled, the second book in the Cindermama series. And it’s hard you guys! I wrote Pumpkin in a month. It just flowed from my heart to my hands. But Rumpeled? Rumpeled is stuck in my head. I love these characters, their personalities, motivations, and the growth they go through at the end of the story. I just find myself overthinking every word I write because now I know people are actually reading what I write down! I’ll have it ready for you guys soon, I promise. Continue reading
